Central Air Conditioning Repairs
What is Central Air Conditioning?
Central air conditioning is a method of cooling in which a centralized unit cools and dehumidifies air before it circulates through an area. Central air conditioners are separated into two components: the evaporator, and the condenser coil and compressor. An outdoor cabinet holds the condenser coil and compressor outside, and the evaporator coil is inside in conjunction with the air handler.
How Does it Work?
When this AC unit is operating, warm air inside a home or office is sucked in through the return-air duct that flows to the unit. The warm air is then moved by the blower across the evaporator coil where the heat energy is transferred to the refrigerant. The compressor pumps a chemical called refrigerant through the system, and is responsible for removing the heat inside and moving it to the outside. Moisture that contributes to humidity is also condensed out of the air. After this transfer, warm air now cool, is blown back through the vents.
